Samode Patchwork Print
A haveli is one of the grand painted mansions of Rajasthan, every wall covered in pattern. This print carries that same love of colour: a patchwork of block-print panels in sky blue, coral, mustard and sage, on soft organic cotton.
The three pieces
The Haveli One Shoulder Dress is the clearest expression of the print — a one-shoulder midi that lets the block-print panels run across the body at an angle. The Char Bagh Backless Maxi is cut from liquid organic cotton satin into a tiered, voluminous shape with a V neckline and ruffled sleeve; char bagh is the four-part Mughal garden plan, which is where the name comes from. The Mor Kaftan Wrap Kimono is the easy one — knee-length, 100% soft organic cotton, with tassel detail, and there is no better companion for swimwear.
Where to wear it
Block print belongs outdoors. Garden parties, daytime weddings, bridal showers and long lunches that run into the evening. The kaftan is a holiday piece — throw it over a swimsuit, add sandals, and walk straight from the pool to the table. The Char Bagh has enough drama for a destination wedding.
Fit and care
Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. Organic cotton likes to hang dry — tumble drying is what shrinks cotton and dulls block-print colour, so skip it entirely. Press on the reverse while the cloth is still slightly damp if you want a crisp finish, or leave the Char Bagh's tiers soft, which is how I prefer them. On fit: the Mor's kimono shape and the Char Bagh's tiered volume both drape rather than cling, so either size works if you fall between two. The Haveli's one-shoulder midi is the closest fit of the three, so go by your bust measurement there.
Organic cotton, limited run
These are printed on soft organic cotton, which is what I want against skin in heat — it breathes, it softens with every wash, and it holds colour. Every print run is small and is not repeated. Sizes XS to 3XL, and every piece can be made to measure.
