Petit Trianon Print
The same Versailles story in its sweetest colours. Ornamental scrollwork and sun motifs from Marie Antoinette's private chambers, set in wide stripes of candy pink, lilac, cobalt and peach.
The two pieces
The Queen Wrap Midi Dress is built in premium soft viscose with a wrap front, deep V and long sleeves that end in a clean cuff. The wrap ties to your own waist, which means it fits across a wide range of bodies without alteration — and the long sleeves make it work for venues with coverage requirements. The Carolina One-Shoulder Maxi runs the stripes on a bold diagonal, with one bare shoulder and one draped balloon sleeve. It is the more dramatic of the pair.
Where to wear it
This is my wedding guest print. Spring and summer ceremonies, garden weddings, cocktail receptions — the pink-and-lilac palette reads as celebratory without ever competing with a bride. Both pieces photograph beautifully in daylight, which matters more than people expect when the album arrives. Bridal showers, christenings and milestone lunches too.
Fabric and care
Both are cut from premium soft viscose, which has a subtle luminosity without the formality of pure satin and the drape of a much heavier cloth without the weight. It is the fabric I reach for when a dress has to look considered in photographs and still be comfortable through a long seated dinner. Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. Hang dry, never tumble, and press with steam on the reverse under a pressing cloth on a low to medium setting. The Queen's wrap front adjusts to your own waist, so either size will work if you are between two.
Made in a limited run
Hand-drawn in my Los Angeles studio, then printed and made in small batches with artisans in India. Print runs are not repeated. Sizes XS to 3XL, and every piece can be cut to your own measurements.
