Mosaic Parade Print
Art nouveau florals with whiplash lines, and an evil eye and a love bug tucked in if you look closely. I stacked them in bands of tangerine, sky blue, raspberry and lilac pink on light-as-air cotton, pieced together like a Gaudí mosaic.
The four pieces
The Belle Maxi is the fullest version — a deep V bodice falling into a full skirt, with sleeves, in cotton light enough to move in heat. The Mosaic Swing Dress cuts the same fabric into an easy A-line mini. The Tiffany Wrap Dress is beach-ready femininity, made to go from sand to a lazy afternoon. The Morris Wrap Kaftan is tailored from airy cotton jacquard with a gathered kimono silhouette and oversized sleeves.
Look for the evil eye
There is an evil eye and a love bug hidden in the pattern. I put them there on purpose — a small piece of protection and a small piece of luck, and something to find if you look long enough. Most people never notice. The ones who do always say so.
Where to wear it
Warm weather, outdoors, daylight. Garden parties, beach holidays, daytime weddings, long lunches. The kaftan is a holiday piece; the Belle has the drama for a ceremony.
Fabric and care
Everything here is cotton, chosen because it is the only thing I want against skin in real heat. The Morris is cotton jacquard, which means the pattern is woven into the cloth and gives the kaftan its weight and swing. Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. Hang dry rather than tumble — cotton holds its shape better that way — and press on the reverse. The wrap and kaftan shapes tie to your own waist, so they are the forgiving ones if you are between sizes. Sizes XS to 3XL, made to measure available, print runs not repeated.
