La Floraison Print
For spring I wanted bursts of flowers that spark joy the moment you see them. Find traces of your favourite blooms magnified into a painterly print: cornflower blue, marigold and violet washed over a crisp white base like paint on wet paper.
The four pieces
Three dresses and a shirt, all in cotton. The Blossom Dress has statement flared sleeves and a bead-embellished neckline. The Freesia Wrap Dress has a wrapped bodice and a petal wrap skirt with beaded detail, cut to an hourglass. The Tulip Wrap Dress takes its sculpted shape from the layered nature of flowers. The Unisex Floral Shirt is 100% soft cotton with a regular collar and short sleeves — the easiest way into this print.
Where to wear it
White-based florals belong in daylight. Spring and summer weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, christenings, garden parties and Easter lunches. The wrap dresses adjust to your own waist, which makes them forgiving across a long afternoon and across sizes. The shirt is the outlier — wear it with jeans, with white trousers, or over a swimsuit.
The beadwork
The Blossom's neckline and the Freesia's skirt detail are beaded by hand, bead by bead, which is why those two cost what they cost and why they look different in person than on a screen. Beads catch light the way a print never can. It is also the part of the dress you should be gentlest with.
Fabric and care
Everything here is cotton, because a white-based print needs a fabric that stays crisp rather than one that clings. Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean the beaded pieces, which is what I would do. Hang dry rather than tumble. Press on the reverse and work around the beadwork, never over it. A crisp white ground shows everything, so treat a mark straight away rather than after the wedding.
Made in a limited run
Painted by hand, then printed in small batches on cotton with artisans in India. These runs are not repeated. Sizes XS to 3XL, and every piece can be cut to your measurements.
