Cypress Garden Print
A garden scene in forest green, dusty rose and mint: tall cypress trees, clipped hedges and a villa tucked behind them, printed on lightweight cotton.
The four pieces
The Gaia Pink Maxi is the romantic one — lightweight cotton in bold pink, deep red and green, cut to float. The Pia Pink Mini is the party version, with the floral and foliage print cut short. The Zoe Jacket Dress is an asymmetric midi that works as a dress or over trousers. The Helen Pink Top is a soft cotton wrap with a surplice bodice and long balloon sleeves.
Read the print
There is a whole landscape in this one if you stop to look: cypress trees standing in a row, hedges clipped into shape, and a villa half hidden behind them. I like prints that reward a second glance — the kind where someone leans in at a party and says, wait, is that a house?
Where to wear it
Dusty rose and forest green are garden colours, so this print is happiest outdoors in daylight. Garden weddings, bridal and baby showers, long lunches, summer parties. The jacket dress carries into autumn over trousers.
Four pieces, four jobs
This is the most practical group I make, because the four pieces do not overlap. The Gaia is the dress for a ceremony. The Pia is the one for a party where you want to dance. The Zoe is the piece that works twelve months a year, open over trousers in October and worn as a dress in June. The Helen is a wrap top that goes with denim on a Saturday and with white trousers for lunch. If you buy two, buy the Zoe and the Helen, and you will wear them more than anything else here.
Fabric and care
Lightweight cotton throughout, which is the only fabric I want on a hot garden lawn. Hand wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent, or dry clean. Hang dry rather than tumble, and press on the reverse while slightly damp. The Helen's wrap front ties to your own waist, so it is the forgiving one if you fall between sizes.
