The Fleur Jacket started as a sketch. Sandhya Garg drew the [CONFIRM: palm/geometric] pattern by hand before it became fabric — you can see the original fashion sketch in the image gallery. That process matters here because everything that follows from it — the cotton tapestry weave, the hand-beaded floral embroidery applied by heritage craftspeople in India, the mandarin collar — is the result of a design that was deliberate rather than generated. This is the only jacket in the Sandhya Garg collection, and it is designed to be worn with everything from kaftans to midi dresses to wide-leg trousers. If you want to see it layered over a kaftan, the Duchess Red Kaftan is the natural companion piece.
The construction: a cotton tapestry base fabric woven in the [palm/geometric] stripe pattern — the tapestry weave gives the jacket its structure and texture, catching light differently from printed alternatives. Overlaid on the tapestry is hand-beaded floral embroidery applied by skilled artisans in India using techniques that cannot be machine-replicated. The beading adds dimension and catches light at the embroidery points. A mandarin collar frames the neckline cleanly, elevated without a lapel. Long sleeves. Tailored, non-cropped silhouette — [CONFIRM: hip-length or thigh-length?]. [CONFIRM: any closure/buttons?]
The Fleur's occasion range is broader than most jackets because the tapestry and mandarin collar position it across cultural contexts. For wedding guest events — indoor ceremonies, autumn and winter receptions — the jacket provides coverage that a stole cannot. For Indian fusion occasions and South Asian celebrations — mehndi events, Diwali, multicultural weddings — the beaded embroidery and mandarin collar read as specifically appropriate. For mother of the bride or groom outfits, the jacket adds a layer of occasion formality to any dress underneath. For evening parties and cocktail receptions, the tapestry and beading carry the occasion register without a gown. For resort evening events, the jacket layers over a slip dress or kaftan for dinner in an open-air setting.
How to style it: Over the Duchess Red Kaftan for a complete statement layering look; over a silk slip dress or midi dress for a wedding or formal occasion; over wide-leg trousers and a fitted camisole for a South Asian fusion look. Gold or brass jewellery reinforces the beading. The mandarin collar works without a necklace — the jacket is the jewellery.
Available in sizes S through XL (US sizes 2–16). XS is currently sold out — email labelsandhyagarg@gmail.com to join the waitlist. For sizes above XL, custom sizing is available. Care: dry clean only. The hand-beaded embroidery and cotton tapestry require professional cleaning — do not hand wash or machine wash. Store hung to maintain the jacket's structure.
What exactly is the geometric pattern on the Fleur?
[CONFIRM FROM GARMENT — is the pattern palm-inspired? What is the specific motif? Describe the colour palette: is it predominantly blue with gold/cream?]
Is the embroidery actually done by hand?
Yes. The floral embroidery is hand-applied by heritage craftspeople in India — not machine-embellished. The result is slight variations in placement that are a mark of handwork. You can see the embroidery process in Image 6 of the gallery.
How do I care for a beaded tapestry jacket?
Dry clean only. The hand-beaded embroidery and cotton tapestry fabric require professional cleaning to maintain the bead placement and fabric structure. Do not hand wash or machine wash. Store hung — folding on the beaded sections can displace or damage beads over time.
Is this jacket lined?
[CONFIRM FROM GARMENT — is the Fleur jacket lined? If yes, with what fabric? Update before publishing.]
Is the Fleur appropriate for Indian fusion or South Asian occasions?
Yes. The mandarin collar, beaded floral embroidery, and geometric tapestry pattern make the Fleur appropriate for mehndi celebrations, Diwali, multicultural weddings, and any occasion where a Western silhouette with South Asian embroidery heritage is appropriate. Browse the Indian fusion collection for complementary pieces.
Can I get this jacket in a size above XL?
The Fleur is currently available in S through XL. For sizes above XL, custom sizing is available — email labelsandhyagarg@gmail.com with your measurements and we will discuss options.
Will the Fleur jacket be restocked?
No. Like all Sandhya Garg designs, the Fleur is limited-production. Once stock sells out, it will not be repeated. Custom orders are available.

Answer- The print of the dress is exclusively designed by Sandhya herself. She draws inspiration from her travels and takes many days to research and design the print from scratch by drawing, sketching, painting, CAD and more before arriving at the final print and then getting it printed at her own printing facility. From starting till the end the process is all hers. After we have the perfect print on the perfect fabric we start working on dress shapes and the collection. We manufacture in our own design studio in USA and India, thus making sure our clothing is exclusive and top quality.
12.What is the Fabric and quality of your garments?
Answer- All of our fabrics are printed and embroidered in India. We work to ensure the finest quality of construction and never employ the use of child labor or unfair trade practices. Embellishments are meticulously hand-applied. This skill is very specialized and only performed by the greatest of heritage craftsman who have perfected their trade. We pride ourselves in supporting the Indian people (Sandhya herself comes from India and grew up around craft) at this very unique craft. The beauty of our fabrics and embellishments lie in their uniqueness and there may be slight variations in color and design. Because these pieces are 100 percent made by hand, slight variations in the placement of the patterns are to be expected (and, we think, part of the charm!)
