Fashion Influencer and Blogger we love : Catch Cindy N'Kele Scaramuzza of @Foreign_Fresh_Fierce, a Texas based fashion, beauty and travel influencer and blogger.
In her own words "Foreign Fresh & Fierce blog is dedicated to those who loves everything foreign, fresh & fierce whether it is fashion, beauty, travel or food! I write about fashion, my travels to other cities and countries, different cultures and foods that I have been able to experience and showcasing international style. With both fashion & travel, I love to show how you can dress stylishly and have an amazing time in beautiful destinations no matter your budget!"
"From music to home décor to fashion, I am attracted to things that are different – FOREIGN in style and new! I love traveling to other countries and learning about their culture, trying out new foods, and trying out their fashion styles. I enjoy shopping for clothes overseas because I know that I can get some pieces that I or anyone can find here in the United States. FRESH– I consider this to describe things that are simple yet fashionably. Not all the time when trying to create a unique style, it has to be complicated or funky. Sometimes less is more and simplicity of an item can be a fashion statement all in its self. And when comes to fashion, I love to look FIERCE! I like to try to stand out and play with different colors!

So what is my style? My style is looking fierce on a budget. It’s all about looking #chiqueforcheap! Who says you have to have a lot of money in order to be fashionable?! I never bought designer brand items such as Prada, Chanel, etc. It is not that I have anything against designer brands. It is just because growing up we did not have the money for designer labels. I have always been a fashionista on a budget."
Some of her very insightful styling tips that we love-
On "tall chic problems"- "
Being tall sometimes present wardrobe challenges. Pants not long enough or they are long enough but too big due to my size. Let’s not forget that being tall means having a bigger shoe size! In shoes I am a size 11 but at times depending on the shoe I can wear a size 10.
I am 5’11 and I wear my height with pride!
Everyone that knows me, knows that despite my height, I am always rocking high heels! But to let you in on little secret… I am actually supposed to be a few inches taller – without heels!
I have a pretty bad scoliosis – a Double S curve. So I have a curve at the upper and lower parts of my back. It resembles a backwards S. So if my spine was completely straight, I may be about 6’2 or 6’3″!!
Tips on How to Get Fashion Shots While Vacationing
Hey jetsetters! So for those who follow me on Instagram, knows I love taking cool shots while traveling. When you have a beautiful landscape and architecture, you can’t help but to want to take some beautiful photos with it. Taking photos while sightseeing is not hard task but it just takes some planning which is…
The tips in taking good fashion shots while vacation without spending so much time “getting the shot” vs enjoying the moment.
As a fashion and travel blogger, I try to take photos in multiple outfits to show a variety. When I first began to blog, I would wear the same outfit all day or at least the majority of the day and then do a change out for the evening. It is not a bad thing to do so but how I like my feed and my content to align is to not show the same outfit over and over again with different scenery or backgrounds. Check out my tips below as well as our amazing hike to this mountain spot.
One of the first things you need in order to do outfit changes is buy a bag to carry it all in. Not just any bag but something really cute and fashionable. Whether you are going to bring a backpack or tote, you want it to have some style so you do not stand out like a sore thumb that you are a tourist.
Outfit Planning- Yes, in order to not pull out your hair, you have to do some outfit planning. This last trip was so much less stress because I planned out my outfits to the accessories before we got on the plane in my notebook. This may seem extreme but it is so helpful and you save soo much more time. Typically my rule of thumb is change clothes every 3-4 hours. In this time frame, I would have done a lot of sightseeing and gotten a lot of shots in one outfit.
With our trips, we tend to stay 2-3 nights each place and more than that when we are in Italy with family and friends. So we don’t necessarily have a time stamped itinerary of what we will do but when you book tours those are “timestamped” where you have to be at a certain place at a certain time. So I use those booked tours at points in time where I would do a dress change.
Each day I tend to wear 2-4 outfits. When I know I will have that many changes, I try to simplify my accessories. This means what handbags and shoes would go well with all outfits to where I am not hauling 2nd pair or 3rd pair of shoes or bags with me. Small clutches and sandals are perfect for swap outs as well as neutral color bags like black, white or beige/gold.

SG- What is your personal style or fashion mantra? How do you plan a look?
FFF- My personal is to always make a statement whether it is adding ruffles, statement jewelry or sunglasses and of course bold colors. I absolutely love color and love mixing different colors that perhaps are not traditionally styled together. I discovered by playing with different color palettes you can create some cool combos which I reputation of doing. Turquoise and purple is one of my favorite color combos as well as cobalt blue and pink together. I plan my looks based on what color I want to wear then what accessories I have to bring out certain colors or to add a pop of color.
SG- You favorite travel/resort destination, travel tips or packing tips?
FFF- My favorite travel destination is Italy. Italy has always had a special place in my heart. Not only because I married an Italian but I fell in love with Italy and the culture long before me and my husband ever met. I love the lifestyle, the culture, language and people. In Italy, you will notice that everyone dresses chic and with style. You do not see a whole lot of denim and if you do it is dressed up with a blazer and nice shoes. When visiting Italy, put thought in your vacation wardrobe. I have learned you can get better service that way. Avoid sports shirts, jerseys and athletic sneakers. Always pack a dress, dress pants and nice blouses.
SG- Your favorite look for Texas summer?
FFF- I love a good flowy maxi dress with a cute pair of sandals. Though Texas summers are very hot, maxi dress always keeps me cool. I also love my off the shoulder and one shoulder tops. Nothing makes me feel more feminine than showing a bit of shoulders.
SG- Your styling tips for making a boring outfit into fashion success
FFF- Though I am the queen of color and ruffles, my most simplest outfits I still make it a fashion success by adding statement accessories or a cool pair of shoes. I do love a good t-shirt and jeans from time to time but most of my jeans are high waist which I feel adds style in its self. Also I love big earrings whether they are my colorful shoulder dusting tassel earrings or big gold rhinestone earrings. I have begun a collection of oversize hats as well.
SG- What is your favorite go to outfit?
FFF- Jeans and a ruffle or off the shoulder top with colorful pair of earrings and heels with a bold color lip.
SG- Tips on being a successful fashion influencer, and producing gorgeous content?
FFF- Stay true to you and don’t worry about what other people are doing. It is very easy to get caught up in everyone else’s success and want to change your style to “fit in”. But being an influencer is not about blending in and following the crowd. It is about why are you different and what you have to offer. Find out what you like and think about who you are and create content based on that.
SG- Anything you want to say to your followers?
FFF- I hope you enjoy the content that I create because I put a lot of thought and heart in everything I do. I don’t do this because I want fame or anything like that. I sincerely love share my fashion style and beauty and travel tips with everyone. I would do this long before I was an influencer with my friends and I am happy to continue to do so to a wider audience.
SG- Who were your favorite NYFW designers and what's your trend forecast?
FFF- My favorite NYFW designers are Custo Barcelona, Afffair, Milly, Jeremy Scott, Ulla Johnson and Cindy Monteiro to name a few. Trends that I think we are going to see are prints – I don’t think floral and animal prints or other patterns will be going away any time soon. Neon colors I think we will a lot as well think the play on textures and fabrics – feathers, lace, sheer, tulle I think we will be seeing these being incorporated in pieces.
